Choate USA is seeking a proven “Director of Maintenance” to aggressively grow and capitalize on maintenance opportunities that currently exist within our business. This is an exciting career opportunity for the right individual, to lead, implement and direct the operations of a new Maintenance division; with a company poised and ready to support the venture.
Choate USA has been a leader in the landscape construction industry for over 30 years. Recently, Choate USA was ranked as No. 38 in Lawn and Landscapes “Top 100.” We have evolved into a complete site services company; with a specific focus on irrigation, landscape/sod, and drainage for Residential and Commercial Construction.
As we continue our growth and success in the industry, we are looking to expand on the services we offer; creating more value for customers and continuing to diversify our services over multiple revenue streams.
The Director of Maintenance is responsible for the challenging task of getting our maintenance division on its feet. The candidate will be knowledgeable in both the technical and business aspects surrounding the maintenance industry and will be driven to prove themselves as a future leader for the Company.

WHAT CHOATE USA EXPECTS OUT OF YOU:
- Manage/oversee operations of entire maintenance division including estimating, operations and sales.
- Establish and implement goals, procedures and policies for the entire division.
- Combine sales, operations and financial knowledge to achieve organizational goals.
- Apply effective leadership, management and innovative ideas to increase long term efficiency
- Oversee Hiring and Staffing needs of the Division (Account Managers, Foreman, etc).
- Assist with selection of equipment and setup of Crew Trucks and Trailers for maximum efficiency.
- Understand and contribute to profitability goals through planning of monthly operations; including management of labor, materials, personnel and processes.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement processes to mitigate and improve operations.
- Identify opportunities to develop the division into a formidable operation.
- Build long term relationships with clients and vendors that foster customer satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with creating, developing and continually improving estimating processes relating to maintenance.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/CHARACTERISTICS: * Extensive management/operations experience in the maintenance industry at the mid to senior levels.
- Hard working with good communication skills. Results driven.
- Experience managing all aspects of a maintenance division (technical and business operations)
- Ability to communicate with upper management regarding creation and execution of a plan.
- “No excuse” attitude. Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Location: Flexible to any Choate USA division ( Houston, San Antonio, DFW or Austin)
Base Salary: Depending on Experience.
